The today pictures can be mysterious : one dripper (left) and one lady fingers (right)
Let's have a deeper look in it ...
- The word DRIPPER come from DROP. The aim of the drippers is to use water sparingly and intelligently, instead of giving a big quantity of water and risk a waste.
- The Lady finger is a vegetable.
Let's have a deeper look on it ...
- How work the drippers ?
Drippers close to basil plants (left), and close to beans plants (right)
Look at these pictures, then understand how it works :
One dripper and its drop
As you can see, my camera is not a Pentax one ...
Drippers are disposed along pipes (left), pipes are placed on beds (right)
- How do we plant the lady fingers ?
The question should be "How do we plant any kind of plant ?" because tasks are always the same. First, a bed has to prepared. It means a good weeding, composting, mulching, drippers cleaning. Then the bed is ready to plant something on it. The steps previously quoted will be developped in a page dedicated to the bed preparation. For now, let's have a look on the planting, which has to be done as soon as the bed is prepared.
Take growth of lady fingers (prepared a couple of days ago)
Dig a hole by hands or with a digger
Place the growth in the soil and squeeze the soil around it
Water ...
Let's end with a nice face
Carla says :
"The next page is talking about a basil bed making, and will also end with a nice face"
